1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 lb. ground beef
1 lb. pork sausage (I use Italian)
1 T. sweet basil
1 28 oz. can Italian crushed tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1 lb lasagne noodles
1 lb mozzarella, grated
12 oz. ricotta cheese mixed with 2 eggs and 2 T. parsley
4 oz. parmesan

Saute oil, onion and garlic. Add beef, sausage, basil, can tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and pepper. While cooking, boil noodles in 6 quarts boiling water until al dente. Rinse in cold water.

Use large pan and layer:
Small amount of sauce on bottom
Mozzarella cheese
Ricotta cheese
Repeat these layers until all is used up. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Bake 350 for 30 to 45 minutes or until lasagne just starts to boil. Preferably with lid or covered with aluminum foil.
