1 quart strawberries
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 baked pastry shell

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and hull berries, drain thoroughly
Cover bottom of pastry shell with choicest berries
crush remaining berries, add enough water to make 1 and 1/2 cups
Mix sugar and cornstarch add to the crushed berries and bring to boil, cook over moderate heat
until mixture thickens, cool slightly then pour over
berries in pastry shell.
Chill
Just before serving top with sweetened whip cream
Use the same recipe for other berries and peaches
