1 package (9 oz.) fresh or frozen cheese ravioli or tortellini
3/4 lb Italian sausage, crumbled
1 can (14.5 oz.) Italian stewed tomatoes
1 can (14 oz.) beef broth
1 can (14.5 oz.) cut green beans, drained
2 green onions, sliced
Parmesan cheese, grated (if desired)

1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain
2. Meanwhile, cook sausage in 5-quart pot over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain. Add tomatoes, broth, and 1 3/4 cups water; bring to boil.
3. Reduce heat to low; stir in pasta, green beans and green onions. Simmer until heated through. Season with pepper and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

This recipe is very forgiving---ratios do not need to be exact. I use 1 lb. sausage because that is the size packages come in. I've tried meat ravioli and liked it. Use hot Italian sausage if you like spicy food. I found this recipe in a cook book called "Grandma's Best-Loved Recipes".
