2 c. raisins
1 c butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. applesauce
1 T. salt
1 T. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
Icing
3/4 c brown sugar (packed
1/4 c melted butter
3 T canned milk
2 c powdered sugar

Cake:
Rinse, drain and chop raisins. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Sift flour, salt, soda and spices and blend into creamed mixture alternately with applesauce. Mix in raisins. Bake in greased pan 12x18x2 1/2" about 45 min. at 350º

Icing:
Combine brown sugar, butter and canned milk. Bring to a boil (or until dissolved). Remove from heat and cool. Add powdered sugar to required thickness to go on cake.
