Cream of Broccoli Soup Recipe

1 c butter
1 c onions, chopped
1/2 c green onions, chopped
1 1/2 c celery, chopped
3 c chicken broth
1 tsp pepper
dash of salt
10 c broccoli, chopped
3 c potatoes, diced
grated cheese

Melt butter in large saucepan. Add onions and celery, cook until tender. Add the chicken stock, seasonings, broccoli, potatoes and just enough water to cover. Boil until broccoli is tender. Add milk until consistency you want. Serve with grated cheese.
