1 c. sugar 1/3 c. flour 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cinnamon 3 tbsp. butter 6 cups apples, sliced and peeled
Mix first 4 ingredients and sprinkle over apples. Separate butter into pats and place over mixture before putting crust on top. To prevent overbrowning, cover edge of pie with foil. Bake in 375º oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes more or until top is golden.
