3 c. brown sugar
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Put sugar and milk in pan and cook. Stir constantly to avoid curdling, until soft-ball stage. Remove from heat. Add butter and set aside without stirring to cool. When lukewarm beat until thick and creamy. Add the vanilla and nuts and mix thoroughly. Pour into pans that have been slightly oiled. When cool, cut into squares.
