3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together very well. Add egg and molasses and cream well again. Add dry ingredients together but don't over-mix. Roll into small balls and cover in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on an non-greased cookie sheet. Cook at 350 degrees for 9 minutes.
