3 lbs ground beef 80/20
6 eggs
1 cup plain breadcrumbs
1/4 c Italian-style breadcrumbs
1/4 onion chopped fine
2-3 cloves fresh garlic minced
1 tablespoon milk
1/4 cup grated cheese
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbls parsley
1 slice bread crumbled by hand

Directions:

Mix ground beef with eggs, milk, cheese breadcrumbs, garlic, bread, onions, salt, garlic powder & parsley. Make into round balls and fry. Add to sauce about an hour before the sauce is done.

Note from Lorraine: I bake my meatballs 350º for 25 mins, instead of frying, and sometimes add fresh bread crumbs. Then add to sauce. Can also add touch of oregano. Grandma used basil in her meat balls, but I use the flavored breadcrumbs to get the old fashioned flavor. My sauce recipe is listed under sauces. Recipe can be doubled.
