"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for White Trash Puff Balls, by Tami Butler, is from Our Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
8 oz Cream Cheese, softened 8 oz sliced pepperoni 2 pkgs Crescent rolls Garlic, minced (to taste) Italian seasoning (to taste)
Separate crescent rolls into triangles. Flatten each triangle and slice it so it becomes 3 smaller triangles. Dice, or chop the pepperoni into very tiny pieces. Mix the pepperoni into the softened cream cheese and stir well so it is thoroughly mixed. Put a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the middle of each of the crescent roll triangles and pinch up all the sides around the filling to seal edges. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350º for approximately 11 minutes or until golden brown. Delicious served with pizza/marinara sauce as a dipper!
