"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Sugar Cookies, by Karen Guzmán, is from Eagles in the Kitchen,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
4 cups flour 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 2 slightly beaten eggs 3T buttermilk mixed w/scant teaspoon of baking soda
Mix flour and sugar in large bowl. Place butter in bowl and add eggs and buttermilk. Mix with hands and roll out onto floured surface. Cut out cookies with shaped cutters. Bake at 375 ş 10 -12 minutes or until just about to turn brown.
What makes these sugar cookies great is that you don't need to chill the dough before you roll it out and cut out your cookies!
