Simple Syrup:
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water

1 c. orange juice
1/4 c. blueberries
1/4 c. strawberries
1/4 c. raspberries
1 shot creme de cassis
1/4 c. club soda
1/4 c. buttermilk

In a small saucepan, mix sugar and water over medium heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Do not let the mixture boil. Cool the syrup. Cover and refrigerate any leftover syrup.

In a food processor or blender, blend orange juice and berries. Adjust sweetness by adding simple syrup as needed. Add creme de cassis.

Just before serving, add club soda to give the soup a sparkling twist.

Serve in chilled bowls and finish with a swirl of buttermilk.
