5 1/2 C flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 c shortening
1/2 C oleo
2 C sugar
1 C sour cream
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla

Sift flour, add sugar, salt, nutmeg, soda & baking powder. Sift again. Cream shortening, butter and add sugar gradually. Add sour cream, beat well until light. Add eggs & vanilla. Combine dry ingredients & creamed mixtures. Blend thoroughly. Good to refrigerate overnight.
Roll out & cut - put on greased cookie sheet bake at 375 8 - 10 minutes.

Icing: cream 1/4 C shortening, add 3 C XXXX sugar alternately with 4 -5 T milk just enough to make spreading consistency. Add 1 tsp vanilla.
