1 pound ground beef
1 can tomato soup or large can tomato sauce
3 c shredded cabbage
1 onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Green pepper, chopped
3 T uncooked rice

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef. Mix soup and water. In 2 quart casserole, layer cabbage, beef, onion, green pepper, and rice in casserole, ending with cabbage. Season to taste and pour soup mixture over. Bake 325º for 2 hours.

Alternative: Add 1 T each of brown sugar and vinegar to the soup mixture.
And or: Beef broth or mixed vegetable juice in place of the tomato soup and water.
