1 pound ground beef or turkey
1/2 c chopped onion
1/4 t salt
1 can cream mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
1 pkg (16 oz) frozen French fried potatoes
1 c grated cheddar cheese
1 can (3 oz) French fried onion rings

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat with chopped onions in frying pan. season with salt and drain off grease. Combine mushroom soup with milk. Add to meat mixture, stirring until well blended. In a 7 by 11 inch casserole dish, cover bottom with half of the meat mixture. Layer with half of the French fries. Repeat layers, ending with French fries. Cover. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Remove cover and sprinkle casserole with cheese. Bake, uncovered for 10 minutes. Just before serving, place French fried onions rings on top. Return to oven for 5 more minutes, then serve.
