2 egg whites
1/8 t. salt
1/4 c. fine granulated sugar
2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/4 c. white corn syrup
1 T. water
1 T. vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
2/3 cup chilled canned sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Beat egg whites with salt to soft peaks. gradually beat in sugar until stiff. Fold in nuts and spread in buttered 8 inch pie pan, building up sides to form crust rim. Bake in preheated 400º oven 12 minutes; cool. Bring corn syrup and water just to boiling, stir in vanilla and chocolate until melted; cool. Reserve 2 T. chocolate. Pour rest in bowl. Add milk and cream, blend on low speed. Beat at medium speed until soft peaks form. Pour into shell; freeze until firm, then decorate with chocolate. Freeze until ready to serve.,
