1/2 gallon water
1 qt. vinegar
2 T. white pepper
1/2 C. salt
2 bay leaves
1-12oz can pickled beets
1 T. onion salt
2 T. garlic salt

Directions:
Heat mixture to boiling, pour over jar filled with hard boiled eggs. Keep eggs in jar with mixture until pickled (about 1 week)

This is Dan Wilson's famous pickled egg recipe.
Sometimes he adds grilled polish sausage chunks and sliced jalapeņos.
