2 c. nine bean soup mix
2 qt. water
1 lb. ham, diced
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 to 3/4 tsp salt
16 oz. can tomatoes, undrained and chopped
10 oz. can tomatoes and green chiles, undrained and chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Sort and wash 2 c. of bean mix. Place in a large pot with a lid. Cover with water 2 inches above the beans and soak overnight. Drain beans. Add 2 qt. of water, diced ham, chopped onion, minced garlic and salt. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hrs or until beans are tender. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 20min. ; stirring occasionally.
