2 lbs squid, cleaned and chopped
1 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 T olive oil
1 (1 lb 4 oz) can tomatoes
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
2 T chopped parsley
1/4 t oregano
1/4 t basil
1-2 t McCormick Italian seasoning
pepper and red pepper flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Place squid in sauce pan with water and salt, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Drain, reserve cooking liquid. In same pot add oil and cook onions and garlic until tender but not brown, stir in remaining ingredients. Return squid to pot along with cooking liquid, cook about 15 minutes more. Serve over pasta.
