2c. flour
2tsp. baking powder
1/2tsp. salt
1/4c. molasses
1c. granulated sugar
1tbsp. ginger
1tsp. cinnamon
3/4c. shortening
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Measure flour, sugar, ginger, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Sift twice. Cream shortening until soft in a bowl. Add sugar, gradually creaming after each addition. Beat in egg and molasses. Sift dry ingredients over creamed mixture. Blend well. Form small balls and roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes in a preheated 350º oven.
