1 c. butter/margarine (softened)
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2½ c. flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
2 c. oatmeal

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt. Stir. Stir in oatmeal. Set aside.

Chocolate Filling
12 oz. chocolate chips
15 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter/margarine
½ tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 tsp. vanilla

To make filling mix choc chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter and salt together; place in microwave and heat until choc chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Add nuts and vanilla.

Place 2/3 oatmeal mixture in the bottom of a 15 ½ x 10 ½ x 1 baking pan (cookie sheet with sides). Cover with chocolate mixture. Dot with remaining oatmeal mixture.
