3/4 c shortening
1 c sugar
1 egg
1/4 c molasses
2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp grd ginger
1 tsp grd cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
additional sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients in order given. Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Dip in sugar. Bake at 350 on a greased cookie sheet for 12-15 min. Remove to wire racks.
