Shortening
Egg
Flour
Soda
Salt
Vanilla
Nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Cream:
2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs

Add alternately:
3-3 1/2 c flour
2/3 c. warm water with;
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt in the water

Add:
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2-1 c. chopped nuts

Mix all well.
