1/2c. shortening
3/4c. brown sugar
3 egg yolks
1/2tsp. maple flavoring
1 1/2c. flour
1/4tsp. baking powder
1c. milk
3 stiff, beaten egg whites
1/2c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add the egg yolks and flavorings and beat until fluffy. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with the milk. Fold in the beaten egg whites and nuts. Bake in muffin pans at 350 for about 15-20 minutes.
