3 cups sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1 cup water
juice & rind of 5 lemons
5 egg yolks
Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients, then add well beaten egg yolks. Cook slow, stirring often. Cook until icing forms a soft ball in cold water. Spread on cake layer while icing is hot. Punch holes in layers to absorb icing throughout cake. Cover top and sides of cake.
