2 cups lukewarm milk 1/2 cup sugar 2 teaspoon salt 2 cakes comp yeast 2 eggs 1/2 cup soft shortening about 6 1/2 cups flour
heat milk and mix in shortening and yeast
mix all ingredients and let rise to double in size. Kneed down and let rise again to double size. Roll out and cut into 1x2 inch pieces. Place on cookie sheet and brush with butter. Let rise to double in size and bake 20 minutes @ 325º
