1 pkg. cake mix (desired flavor)
2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven 350º. Mix half dry cake mix, shortening, eggs and vanilla in large bowl until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix, chips and nuts. Drop on cookie sheet by teaspoon 2 inches apart. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cookies will be soft in center. Cool slightly. Remove from sheet.
