Ingredients:  
1 deep dish pie crust
3 heaping spoons of cocoa
2 heaping spoons of flour
1 3/4 c white sugar
4 eggs
1 3/4-2 c milk
pinch of salt
1/2 tbs vanilla
1/2 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Bake pie shell according to directions, cool. combine dry ingredients, mix milk and 4 egg yolks, beat and add to dry. Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly. Add vanilla and butter into cooked mixture and combine. Pour into cooled pie crust. Beat egg whites to soft peak, add 3 tbs sugar and 1 tsp vanilla, beat again to stiff peak. Pour on top of pie and bake in 350 degree oven until lightly brown.

If you take out cocoa and add brown sugar, then you have caramel pie.
