"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Hot Apple Cider, by Nikki Oldham, is from The Logan 12th Ward Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
Put 5 quarts of water in pan and then add: 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 ½ c. sugar 1 (6 oz) can frozen lemonade 1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice
In a small cheesecloth bag, add spices and add to water and boil for 30 minutes. Then add sugar, lemonade and orange juice. Simmer. Remove cheesecloth bag before serving. Serve. This is delicious and tastes just like apple cider.
