3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 bottle red food coloring
1 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda

Cream Cheese Icing
1 box powdered sugar
1 8 oz. bar cream cheese (room temp.)
1 stick butter (room temp.)
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, and cocoa in separate bowl.
Mix vinegar and soda in separate bowl.
Mix vanilla, food coloring and buttermilk in separate bowl. Cream butter and sugar together - then add eggs - one at a time.. Alternating, add buttermilk mixture then flour mixture. Add vinegar and soda mixture. Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes.

Icing: Beat together sugar, cream cheese, butter and vanilla. Ice cake layers.
