1 German chocolate cake mix
¾ cup evaporated milk
1 14oz pkg caramels
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 6oz package chocolate chips

Directions:
Mix cake mix and ¾ cup evaporated milk. Spread ½ of batter in greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in top of double boiler. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked layer, then spread melted caramels. Top with remaining cake batter. Bake 18 minutes at 350. Makes 48 bars.
