1 package frozen asparagus, thawed
cup cheddar cheese, grated
3 slices bread, cubed
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
tsp salt
tsp pepper
1 tsp minced onion
1 T butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Arrange in layers; of bread, of asparagus, and of cheese in greased casserole. Repeat layers, ending with layer of cheddar cheese. Mix together egg, milk, salt, pepper, onion and butter. Pour over layers. Top with additional layer of cheese. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
