25-30 MEDIUM CUCUMBERS 8 WHITE ONIONS 4 RED OR GREEN PEPPERS 1/2 C CANNING SALT 5 C VINEGAR 5 C SUGAR 1/2 TSP. WHOLE CLOVES 2 TBSP MUSTARD SEED 1 TSP TUMERIC
WASH AND SLICE THIN CUCUMBERS. SLICE ONIONS AND PEPPERS. SOACK CUCUMBERS, ONION AND PEPPERS ING 1/2 CUP SALT. LET STAND 3 HOURS. WASH CUCUMBERS, ONION AND PEPPERS. COMBINE SPICES, SUGAR AND VINEGAR. BOIL AND ADD CUCUMBERS. HEAT, BUT DO NOT BOIL; LEAVE THEM IN UNTIL THEY BECOME TRANSPARENT. PUT IN JARS AND SEAL.
