Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 large bottle of ketchup
2 cups vinegar (white is ok, but cider vinegar is better)
1 lemon
2 tsp. McCormick's BBQ spice

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, stir together ketchup and vinegar. Halve lemon and squeeze juice into ketchup mixture. Put lemon halves into the pot as well, along with the spice.

Bring to a simmer and let cook for 1 hour or more, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.

Personal Notes:
This is as close as I could come to the BBQ sauce we always used to have with leg of lamb. It's very vinegary, but it goes well with the richness of the lamb. If you can't find McCormick's BBQ spice, add a dash of onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper to the mixture.
