1/2 lb. butter
1c, sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1c. sliced almonds
1 egg white

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and egg yolk in large bowl. Add flour and cinnamon. Mix well. Put dough on greased cookie sheet with sides. Spread dough with fingers over surface of cookie sheet until is covered with dough, about 1/8 inch thick.
Beat egg white slightly, then pour over top of dough. Run off any excess egg white. Sprinkle almonds over top of dough. Sprinkle with 1 T. sugar.
Bake in 375º oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat. Cut in squares while still hot. Remove from pan when cooled
