3 c. vinegar (white or red)
2 c. water
21/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. whole allspice
1 tsp. whole cloves
4 qts beets sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beets until tender; cool. Peel
Cover cooked beets with above liquid. Simmer and pack in hot sterile jars and seal.
