Skin-peel and quarter tomatoes. Pack in jars and leave 1" head space. For quarts add 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp. sugar. For pints add 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. sugar. Put the lids and rings on the jars. Set on cookie sheet and put in cold oven. Set in oven @ 250º for 75min. Then shut off and leave in oven overnight. Do not open door!!!!!!!!
DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR ONCE THE TOMATOS ARE IN THE OVEN.
