2 eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 cups flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
chocolate chips/chopped nuts as desired
Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugars, butter, and shortening; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Add vanilla, soda, salt, and cinnamon; mix well. Add flour and mix well. Then STIR in the chocolate chips and nuts. I like milk chocolate chips (sweet) with walnuts (bitter) or semi-sweet chocolate chips (bitter) with pecans (sweet) it's a nice mix of flavors. Drop by the teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes. Watch your oven carefully on the first batch. Take them out when they're beginning to get golden brown around the edges, but still doughy. My oven does them in about 9 1/2 minutes. Leave them on the cookie sheet for a few minutes to get more solid and then transfer them to a wire rack to cool.
