Mirchi (Green Chillier):

12 medium-sized jalapeño peppers

Salan:

Grind:
½ cup peanuts - roasted and skins removed
¼ cup sesame seeds - toasted

Add:
2 T coconut powder
Add water to make it a paste

Saute

1 T oil
4 dried red chillier
1 t mustard seed
1 t coriander seeds
1 t cumin seeds
1 stick cinnamon
4 cloves
4 cardamom seeds
tit bit fenugreek

1 red onion
1/2 inch ginger
2 cloves garlic
1 c water
1 T tamarind concentrate
2 T jaggery
1-2 t salt

Directions:

1. Make paste

2. Brown dry spices

3. Saute onion, garlic and ginger

4. Add cup of water and tamarind, jaggery and salt

5.Add 1 c yogurt

6 Add paste

7. Add chills, cover and turn down

8. 20 minutes cooking
