3 cups quick cooking rolled oats
2+ Tablespoons cocoa
1 cup shredded coconut, optional
1 cup chopped nuts, optional
2 cups white sugar
Ĺ cup butter or margarine
Ĺ cup evaporated canned milk
Ĺ cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix oats, cocoa, coconut and nuts in a large bowl. (Coconut and nuts are optional).Using at least a 2 quart sauce pan, mix sugar, butter, milk, and corn syrup. While stirring, bring to a rolling boil. Boil at least one minute. Turn off. Add vanilla, stir until mixed. Pour into bowl with oatmeal mixture, quickly stirring to coat. Spoon mixture onto aluminum foil. Let cookies set overnight. If sticky, you didnít cook long enough OR the humidity is very high.
