2c shifted all purpose flour
2tsp baking soda
3/4c shortening
1T ground ginger
1tsp cinnamon
1/2tsp salt
1/8tsp allspice
1c sugar
1 egg
3/4c molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Shift together flour, ginger, soda, salt, cinnamon and allspice. Cream shortening till soft, add sugar gradually in to cream mixture. Beat in egg and molasses shifting dry ingredients over cream mixture and blend well. Form 1tsp balls in sugar. Place 2in apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes
