1 c. sugar
1 c. raw peanuts
1/2 c. light Karo syrup
1 T. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, peanuts, and syrup. Cook 4 minutes, then stir and cook 4 more minutes. Stir and then add butter. Stir then cook 1 1/2 minutes. Add baking soda, stir, and pour onto buttered cookie sheet (or oil lined) and let cool.

This recipe comes from my mother Betty Kough. You can use dry roasted peanuts instead of raw but do not add them until you have cooked it 4 minutes.
