1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 c shortening
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 c dark molasses
1 tsp baking soda in 1 c boiling water

Add another cup of flour if made in the mixer. Bake about 15 at 325º
