1/2 c shortening
1 2/3 c sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 c sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 c milk
2- 1 oz square unsweetened chocolate-melted
1/2 c confectioners sugar
1/2 c black walnuts

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla together and beat in eggs and chocolate. Sift dry ingredients together; add alternately with milk. Blending well after each addition. Stir in nuts and chill for 2 to 3 hours, then form in 1 inch balls and roll in confectioners sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheet about 2 to 3 inches apart. Bake 350 for 10 minutes.
