1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup green peppers (cut in strips)
1 T. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp pepper
2 T. meat drippings
2-1/2 c. chopped tomatoes
2-1/4 c. red kidney beans, (drained)
1 bay leaf

Cook ground beef, onions, green peppers and seasonings in meat drippings, add tomatoes, beans, and bay leaf. Cook and simmer 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
