1 qt. milk
4 tbsp shortening
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp salt
2 yeast cakes
6 1/2 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put milk,shortening, sugar and salt in pan heat until lukewarm. Dissolve yeast cake in 1/4 cup warm water. Put milk in bowl and add about 2 cups of sifted flour and mix, than add the dissolved yeast cakes and add about 2 cups at a time sifted flour. Let rise until double in bulk and roll out on flour board and spread with a little cinnamon and sugar mixture and add some raisins and roll up and slice and put in pan with brown sugar dotted with butter and some pecans. Bake after they have doubled in size about 350 for 30 minutes.
