Cucumbers (Small Whole or Sliced into Spears)
3 Quarts Water
1 Quart Vinegar
1 Cup Salt
12 Heads of Dill
12 Whole Jalapeņos
12 Garlic Cloves
Alum

Directions:
Directions:
Wash cucumbers and pack in jars with a whole jalapeņo, 1 head of dill and 1 garlic clove in each jar. Mix water, vinegar and salt. Bring to boiling, and pour over cucumbers. Add 1/4 teaspoon alum to each jar for firmness. Seal jars by hand and set under a shade tree for 3-4 weeks.
