Ingredients: 2 cups sugar 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour 3/4 cup cocoa 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 cup milk 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1 cup boiling water
Cream Cheese Frosting (YUM YUM) 1 stick margarine 1 (8 oz.) pkg. of cream cheese (it's OK to add a little extra if you want) 1 lb. of confectioners sugar (add little more if needed to get the right consistency) 1 tsp. of vanilla

Directions:Mix all dry ingredients, add wet ingredients and mix well. Add boiling water as your final ingredient. Your cake batter will be very thin. Bake in either 2 round cake pans or one sheet cake pan---WELL greased and floured!! Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 25 min. Cooking time will vary based on your oven so be careful not to over bake this one......cake is done when inserted toothpick is 'almost' clean and edges have begun to pull away from edge of pan.
Frosting: Beat cream cheese and margarine together until smooth. Add the confectioners sugar and vanilla. Cool cake completely before frosting with this heavenly goodness! |
