Preheat oven to 350°

Prepare muffin pans with liners or grease lightly.

CREAM TOGETHER:
1 and 1/2 c. margarine
2 c. sugar

ADD & BEAT:
4 eggs

BEAT IN:
2 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

BEAT IN ALTERNATELY:
2 c. flour
1 and 1/2 c. milk

SPOON ABOUT 1/3 OF THE BATTER INTO A SMALLER BOWL.

ADD AND MIX (into the 1/3 batter you took out):
1/4 c. molasses
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg

PUT A SPOONFUL OF LIGHT BATTER IN A CUPCAKE LINER. ADD A SMALL SPOONFUL OF THE SPICED BATTER. ADD ANOTHER SPOONFUL OF LIGHT BATTER. SWIRL WITH TOOTHPICK TO GET A MARBLED EFFECT. CONTINUE UNTIL ALL BATTER IS USED UP.

BAKE ABOUT 20 TO 25 MIN. OR UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWN.
