2 sticks butter 1/2 cup shortening 3 cups sugar 5 eggs 1 tsp. rum flavoring 1 tsp. vanilla 3 cups flour, sifted 1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup half and half 1 cup walnuts, chopped
Cream butter and shortening; add sugar; beat until very light. Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition, add flavorings. Mix flour and baking powder and add to mixture alternately with half and half; fold in walnuts. Using a large prepared pan bake at 350 for 80 minutes.
